What is data virtualization from a Neebo perspective?
Neebo is a virtual data hub. It establishes and maintains a connection to the data source which is utilized each time a query is initiated. This means that data stays where it is. In most cases it is not moved, copied, or stored locally, which minimizes storage requirements, improves the speed at which data can be accessed, and reduces compute costs.
User access to the source data is controlled by the credential requirements of the source, so that Neebo users cannot ever directly acquire or inherit access they have not been granted explicitly at the source. We do not govern access, we defer to the authentication requirements established on the external source.
